GSO 1211:2021 Scope

1.1 This Gulf standard is concerned with the requirements to be met in CL Lubricating oils. 1.2 CL lubricating oils are used in circular and splash lubrication systems in cases where a higher resistance to aging or a higher degree of corrosion protection than for C lubricating oils as specified in Gulf standard (item 2.18). 1.3 CL lubricating oils should be used for application where water - induced corrosion is to be expected and in the case where high thermal stresses would result in an unduly short service life if C lubricating oils were used.
