This Document deals with "verification equipment" i.e. equipment used for the verification of measuring instruments in the field of legal metrology. The technical equipment considered to be verification equipment may vary greatly in complexity, size, manner of installation, transportability, etc., hence the use of particular terms such as verification apparatus, verification station, verification installation, automated verification equipment, etc.
