This standard is concerned with methods of testing rubber or plastics – coated fabrics on one or both sides with layer of polyvinyl chloride or copolymer the major constituent of which is vinyl chloride, coated fabrics on one side with a polyurethane or silicone elastomer, and coating the major constituent of which is a polyurethane or silicone elastomer, and coated fabrics on one or both sides or for double-texture fabrics in which a natural rubber or synthetic polymer of a type other than those specified before. All these fabrics are made to be used for waterresistant clothing.
