BH GSO 2310:2015 Scope

1.1 This Standard describes the minimum requirements of colour coding of pipes and associated fittings supplied as bulk material for installation at GSO member countries operational areas. 1.2 The objective of colour coding for bulk material is to provide an aid to fabricators and warehouse keepers for the preliminary recognition of the type of material. 1.3 Exclusions a. Pipe fittings such as strainers, valves, sight flow indicators, etc. shall not be colour coded. b. Galvanized, non-ferrous and Reinforced Thermosetting Resin Plastic (RTRP) pipes/fittings shall not be colour coded. c. Feedback as well as comments/ suggestions on the application of this Standard derived at any stage of engineering, procurement, transportation, storage/warehousing, fabrication, erection, construction, testing, and maintenance should be directed to GSO.
