1.1 This specification covers the minimum requirements for the manufacture of industrial type watertube fire, (herein referred to as boilers), that are fueled by either oil, or gas. 1.2 This specification includes requirements for the thermal sizing, mechanical design, shop fabrication, field fabrication, installation, and testing of boilers. 1.3 The requirements in this specification are in addition to and supplement the requirements of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME SEC I, (herein referred to as the Code).
