This part of IEC 852 specifies the outline dimensions of transformers and inductors using YEx-2 laminations constructed for printed wiring board (PWB) mounting. It also covers assemblies using two larger parts of YEE laminations. NOTE 1 — YEx range 2 designates YEE, YEF, YEL, YEI and YES for printed wiring board (PWB) mounting style. This part excludes YED laminations. Both 2,50 mm (metric) modules and 2,54 mm (inch based) modules are specified for the grid plans associated with these components, as well as the marking requirement to identify the component intended for use with the metric grid. NOTE 2 — The 2,54 mm module is intended to be phased out in future applications. Accordingly the 2,50 mm module is preferred.
