BH GSO IEC 60774-3:2016 Scope
This part of International Standard IEC 774 (second edition) applies to magnetic video recording on 12,65 mm (0,5 in) wide tape using the wide band VHS recording system. The basic S-VHS video cassette and the compact S-VHS video cassette are defined as well as the necessary parameters and characteristics for the recordings. The requirements relate to the 525 line-60 field and 625 line-50 field TV systems.
Equipment manufactured according to this part of IEC 774 and tapes recorded following this part provide the necessary interchangeability of recorded video cassettes.
