This International Standard defines the terms used in the aircraft industry related to aircraft electric cables and cable harnesses. NOTES 1 Slight differences exist between terms used in the aircraft industry and those given in IEC 461 which have a wider application. 2 In addition to terms used in the three official ISO languages (English, French and Russian), this International Standard gives the equivalent terms in the German language; these have been included at the request of ISO/TC 20/SC 1, and are published under the responsibility of the member body for Germany (DIN). However, only the terms given in the official languages can be considered as ISO terms.
